Recently we’ve seen a rise in requests to restore characters after they were deleted. While we’ve helped where we could, each restoration requires our team to dig into backups and manually rebuild data—time we’d rather spend on new features, balance updates, and improving Hypnoville for everyone. From now on, character deletions are considered final. Restorations will only be granted in extremely limited circumstances (for example, if deletion resulted from a clear system error). Our backups exist for legal and safety reasons, not as a convenience restore system. To support this policy, we’ve made accidental deletions much harder. You’ll see clearer warnings and additional confirmation steps before a character can be removed.
